We are looking for an Operations & Administrative Coordinator who understands that behind every transformative program is thoughtful coordination, organized systems, and reliable follow-through. Our current team is entirely dedicated to programs and delivering the highest quality care. We are growing quickly and growth requires strong systems - this is where you come in!

The Thriving Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving survivors on college campuses including UC Santa Barbara, San Francisco State University, and San Diego State University. Our programs are survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and grounded in deep respect for community healing.

What You’ll Do
Program & Operations Support
- Assist with documenting internal processes and SOPs
- Maintain and update CRM and program databases
- Updating program information across platforms
- Support program tracking, and reporting processes
- Coordinate logistics for some trainings and events
- Maintain master organizational calendar and deadline trackers
Organizational Infrastructure
- Help maintain administrative and compliance documentation
- Ensure operational systems remain organized, tracked, and up-to-date
Executive & Administrative Support
- Coordinate external communications
- Organize and maintain digital files, shared drives, and internal systems to ensure easy access and clarity across the team
- Prepare and assemble meeting materials, packets, supporting documentation and follow-up information for major meetings in collaboration with the Executive Director
- Maintain a centralized action item tracker and assist with ensuring follow-through on key deadlines
- Draft and format reports, proposals, and internal documents with accuracy and professionalism
- Frequently check the mailbox, located in Goleta.
- Help streamline and execute on recurring administrative processes to improve efficiency over time
Your work in this role directly supports survivor healing by strengthening the systems behind the scenes. Because our programs are largely seasonal following the academic year, the time allocation of these job duties varies depending on the time of year.
Work Structure & Benefits
This is a primarily remote position, with occasional in-person responsibilities in Santa Barbara for team gatherings, meetings, events, and in-person logistics. Some evening or weekend support may be required during programs or events, with advance notice whenever possible.

Compensation
Range: $20-24/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
