We are looking for an entry level Civil Engineer with experience and enthusiasm to join our Canton, OH Transportation team. As a member of the team, you will use your engineering knowledge to help design a wide variety of local, state, and federally funded roadways, bridges, and pedestrian facilities. You will work on a variety of projects and collaborate with a team of like-minded professionals. Your Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To
- Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design plans for transportation related projects.
- Perform necessary design calculations to support the design effort.
- Prepare preliminary and final quantities and cost estimates.
- Utilize software including Open Roads Designer, Civil3D, etc.
- Interact with clients during project meetings.
- Work with construction inspection personnel, as required, to ensure that contracted work accomplishes the intent of the design.
- Operate independently within a deadline driven industry.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program is required.
- EI/EIT certification is desired but is not required.
- 0 – 4 of related transportation experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Open Roads Designer, Civil3D, etc. is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Periodic day travel is required.
