ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Construction & Materials Testing Specialist to join our growing team. This hybrid role combines material testing and construction inspection responsibilities, ensuring quality and compliance across a diverse range of projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform sampling and field testing on construction materials including concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and soil
- Interpret civil construction plans and specifications
- Monitor construction progress, adherence to plans, and compliance with specifications
- Maintain detailed records of project quantities, daily reports, and changes
- Keep accurate redline and as-built drawings to document project modifications
- Communicate findings through written reports and facilitate information flow among all project stakeholders
- Ensure quality standards are met and proactively prevent construction defects
- Adapt to varying job site locations and schedules, including night shift assignments
- Travel to project sites as needed, including periodic extended stays
- Complete certification courses to continuously build skills and technical knowledge
- Willingness to support other divisions and take on additional roles as workload demands
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction inspection or material testing
Testing experience: Material testing experience highly desirable
Safety certifications: OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR certifications preferred
Technical certifications: ACI or WVDOH testing certifications highly desirable
