Role Description
This is a full time position in our Troy location. Responsibilities include conducting speech and language assessments, developing personalized therapy plans, providing one-on-one treatment, collaborating with families, and maintaining detailed documentation. The Speech Therapist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for each patient.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in Speech-Language Pathology, including evaluation and therapy techniques.
- Proficiency in developing individualized therapy plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with families and other professionals to create a supportive therapy environment.
- Willingness to engage parents in the therapy process, including participation in sessions, parent education and coaching
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong documentation abilities.
- Valid state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience working in pediatrics is highly preferred.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a dedication to improving outcomes.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Preference for experience with neurodiversity affirming approaches, child led therapy and/or play based models such as DIR/Floortime
- Training, knowledge of, or willingness to learn Natural Language Acquisition for Gestalt Language Processing
