The Therapy SPOT is a pediatric therapy clinic dedicated to providing speech-language, physical, and occupational therapy services. We focus on delivering individualized therapy plans and comprehensive evaluations for children and young adults. Our approach emphasizes treating the whole child, fostering collaboration with families and other key individuals supporting the patient within their community.

Role Description

This is a full time position in our Troy location. Responsibilities include conducting speech and language assessments, developing personalized therapy plans, providing one-on-one treatment, collaborating with families, and maintaining detailed documentation. The Speech Therapist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for each patient.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills in Speech-Language Pathology, including evaluation and therapy techniques.
• Proficiency in developing individualized therapy plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with families and other professionals to create a supportive therapy environment.
• Willingness to engage parents in the therapy process, including participation in sessions, parent education and coaching
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong documentation abilities.
• Valid state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience working in pediatrics is highly preferred.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a dedication to improving outcomes.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
• Preference for experience with neurodiversity affirming approaches, child led therapy and/or play based models such as DIR/Floortime
• Training, knowledge of, or willingness to learn Natural Language Acquisition for Gestalt Language Processing
