Ideal hours are Mon/Wed/Fri with 2 evenings until 7pm

The Therapy SPOT is a neurodivergent-affirming pediatric therapy clinic specializing in speech-language, physical, and occupational therapy. The clinic provides comprehensive evaluations and individualized therapy plans for children and young adults. Care is centered on treating the whole child, with strong emphasis on functional skills, participation, and well-being. The team collaborates closely with families, caregivers, and other members of each patient’s support network. This inclusive, team-based approach supports meaningful progress in home, school, and community settings.
Role Description
The Pediatric Occupational Therapist is a part-time, on-site role based in Farmington, MI. The therapist will provide direct pediatric occupational therapy services, including evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation for children and young adults with a variety of developmental and sensory needs. Daily responsibilities include conducting standardized and play-based assessments, developing goal-oriented treatment plans, and delivering individual therapy sessions. The role involves educating and coaching families and caregivers, documenting progress clearly and timely in accordance with clinic policies, and collaborating with speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, educators, and other team members. The therapist will also participate in team meetings, contribute to care coordination, and support a neurodivergent-affirming, inclusive clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy practice, with experience in pediatrics and early intervention.
- Skills in sensory integration and working with children with diverse developmental, sensory, and behavioral profiles.
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist in Michigan; NBCOT certification preferred (we will also accept applicants from motivated COTAs)
- Experience conducting pediatric evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and tracking measurable goals.
- Ability to build rapport with children and families and to communicate treatment strategies in a clear, supportive manner.
- Commitment to neurodivergent-affirming, culturally responsive, and family-centered care.
- Strong documentation, time management, and organizational skills in a clinical setting.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team and to collaborate with schools and community partners.
