About the Role
We are seeking a motivated first-year attorney with a strong interest in litigation and property law to join our growing practice. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to gain hands-on courtroom experience and develop deep expertise in real property, construction, and related civil litigation matters.
As our firm continues to expand, the Associate Attorney will play a key role in assisting with in-person hearings, mediations, and trials. You’ll work directly under the guidance of the partner attorney, receiving comprehensive training and mentorship in case strategy, motion practice, and client management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in all stages of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials under supervision.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on property, contract, and tort law issues.
- Collaborate with in-house experts, including engineering architects and a land surveyor, to analyze technical issues in construction and property disputes.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional and timely manner.
- Participate in case strategy sessions and trial preparation activities.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice (or pending admission) in the State of Texas.
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated interest in property law, construction law, or civil litigation.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within a collaborative environment.
