Overview
Our client, a large public-sector organization, is seeking multiple Senior Attorneys on a temporary basis to support a sustained increase in legal workload within its commercial and procurement operations. These roles will support high-volume contracting, complex negotiations, and compliance initiatives arising from expanded programs, policy initiatives, and operational reforms.
This is a long-term engagement supporting a sophisticated in-house legal team operating at capacity and requires attorneys with strong public-sector procurement and transactional experience.

Assignment Details
- Position Type: Temporary / Contract
- Number of Openings: Multiple
- Anticipated Duration: March 2026 through June 2027
- Work Location: Remote / New York, NY
- Pay Rate: $41.75 - $43.75/hr
Senior Attorneys will be assigned to one or more of the following practice areas based on experience and business need:
- General Procurement & Commercial Contracts
- Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of procurement-related agreements
- Support Requests for Bids and other competitive procurement processes with extended timelines
- Handle memoranda of understanding and partnership agreements with governmental and non-governmental entities
- Advise on food services, facilities, and related operational contracts
- Support expansion of nonprofit vendor programs
- Negotiate technology, data privacy, and software agreements, including end-user license agreements
- Address vendor compliance and accountability requirements
- Manage and negotiate a growing portfolio of program-related contracts
- Support expansion initiatives related to early childhood education and childcare programs
- Assist with negotiation and completion of substantial existing agreements tied to program growth
- Support negotiation and execution of complex transportation system contracts
- Assist with contract extensions, emergency procurements, and approvals
- Coordinate with external legal stakeholders as needed
- Track and manage a large, active transportation contract portfolio
- J.D. and active bar admission in good standing in New York Required
- Significant experience in government or public-sector contracting, procurement, or commercial transactions
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and issue-spotting skills
- Ability to manage high-volume workflows with competing deadlines
- Experience working collaboratively within large legal departments or government agencies preferred
