Personal Representative – School Professionals
The TemPositions Group of Companies has an exceptional opportunity available for a Personal Representative within the School Professionals – New York Division. We're looking for collaborative individuals with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a willingness to take the initiative at every level.
What You’ll Do:
As a key part of our Operations team, you’ll help us ensure classrooms are never without great educators. You'll be responsible for recruiting, supporting, and managing our substitute teaching workforce, bringing both people skills and operational savvy to the table.
- Conduct high-volume screening and interviews to identify top candidates for substitute teaching roles.
- Use sound judgment to match and place qualified educators in open assignments—quickly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate and detailed candidate records in our internal systems.
- Communicate regularly with field employees via phone and email—checking in, answering questions, and resolving any concerns.
- Guide educators through our policies and procedures, providing coaching and support when needed.
- Make employment decisions—including terminations—with autonomy and discretion.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm new ideas for recruiting high-quality educational staff.
- Draft and send clear, timely reminder messages and updates to field employees.
- Support other core business functions, including Onboarding, Compliance, Recruitment, and Client Relations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any field of study.
- Previous experience in a similar field, including but not limited to Customer Service, Staffing, Recruitment, or Education.
- Excellent computer skills including proficient knowledge of MS Office.
- Experience in initiating conversation by phone and email, including first contact, in a high-volume setting.
- Proven ability to demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and excel in problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and follow up effectively.
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with diverse personalities in a dynamic and demanding environment.
- Extremely polished and professional.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleges.

What We Offer:
The schedule is either 7:00AM to 4:00PM or 9:00AM to 6:00PM, Monday through Friday.
We operate three days a week in the office. Our office is located in Midtown Manhattan.
Compensation is $50,000 annually. This role is eligible for team-based quarterly performance bonuses, subject to meeting established goals.
