Social Service Lead / Team Leader (LCSW)
Position Summary
Provide clinical leadership and supervision for social service staff while ensuring high-quality care for shelter clients with mental health, substance use, and housing-related needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise social workers and case managers; manage caseloads.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and crisis interventions.
- Provide individual counseling and facilitate 3 weekly group sessions.
- Review and approve clinical documentation; ensure DHS compliance.
- Connect clients to mental health, substance abuse, and community resources.
- Collaborate with medical and behavioral health providers.
- Support staff training, onboarding, and program development.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
- Minimum 2 years post-graduate clinical experience.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Experience working with homeless adults, mental illness, and substance use disorders.
- Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, Harm Reduction, and Recovery-Oriented practices.
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Availability for evenings, occasional Saturdays, and some holidays.
- Ability to escort clients to appointments and navigate stairs as needed.
