What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Product Designer position at The Tech Recruiters?
We are actively searching for a Product Design Lead to join our team on a permanent basis. You'll be joining at an early stage where your design decisions will directly shape how founders raise capital, how investors hold equity in their wallets, and how a complex financial primitive becomes something people actually enjoy using. Your Rhythm:
- Function as the sole Designer for our product.
- Support and expand our design system to ensure consistency and scalability across founder and investor-facing surfaces
- Prototype (low → high fidelity) to explore ideas and gather feedback quickly — from fundraising flows to wallet-based equity experiences
- Collaborate with product and engineering partners to ship features rapidly in a fast-moving equity platform
- Conduct lightweight user research and usability testing with founders, investors, and design partners
- Help operationalize a design practice inside a fast-moving early-stage company redefining how equity works
Your Vibe:
- Comfortable working as a sole designer in a fast-paced A! First environment.
- 6 years of experience in UX design with a professional portfolio that demonstrates a mastery of distilling challenges people face with their software into feasible solutions
- Comfortable working on problems that rarely have clean, definitive answers — especially at the intersection of financial workflows and personal portfolio interfaces
- Capable of leading design projects across a product life cycle from early conception to launch
- Experiences designing Fintech product is highly preferred
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
