What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coding Instructor - Brooklyn position at The TEAK Fellowship?
The TEAK Fellowship is seeking an experienced middle or high school-level instructor to teach Coding to TEAK Fellows in 7th grade. Instructors will work collaboratively as part of a team responsible for providing the curriculum structure established by TEAK.
Teachers will teach approximately 15 students on Tuesdays during the 11-Week Winter semester (Jan 20 - Apr 16, 2026) at St. Ann’s School in Brooklyn.
The TEAK Fellowship is a ten-year enrichment program that offers New York City students from under-resourced communities intensive after-school and summer academic classes, transformational cultural experiences, secondary school, and college guidance, a vibrant internship program, and a robust support system. TEAK students earn admission/financial aid at our Nation’s most prestigious academic institutions and graduate from them determined to make an impact on communities in need of their contributions and leadership.

- Teach 1 section of Coding to 7th graders for 11 weeks from January - April 2026.
- Provide 70 mins of instruction between 4:45-6:15 pm each Tuesday (not including Public School holidays).
- Use Google Classroom and assign up to 1 hour of homework weekly. Collect and grade Fellow homework weekly.
- Attend pre- semester new instructor meeting
- Attend 30 min weekly planning meeting
- Provide midterm and final grades, including writing student comments.
Salary : $3,500
