Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides Technical Assistance to SSI technicians, Customers, and Taylor dealers on all Power Products both in-house as well as in-person at remote customer and SSI locations.
- Maintains log and prepares daily call reports.
- Assesses training needs based on the technical assistance calls he receives and makes recommendations to his manager.
- Travel to customer sites and provide special in person hands-on and classroom training.
- Research, document, and report on ongoing service-related issues as directed.
- Collaborate with other Power Product Support team members to find solutions for ongoing technical issues.
- Be available for other special projects as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Tact, courtesy, and complete integrity are a must in dealing with the customer base.
- Computer skills are essential, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as diagnostic software
Education and Experience:
- Five (5) years’ experience as a field service technician, preferably on industrial generators.
- Certificate of Completion of studies in mechanical and/or related fields may substitute for two years of field experience.
