The Taylor Group – Cabinetmaker
Overview
We are looking for a Cabinetmaker who genuinely enjoys their craft and is looking for a long-term career!
We offer a competitive hourly wage (dependent upon experience), overtime after 40 hours minimum, 2 weeks’ vacation, and GREAT benefits (including RRSP matching after 1 year and annual bonus potential).

Duties and Responsibilities
- Read / interpret detailed shop drawings
- Machine / assemble millwork components using a variety of power and hand tools
- Ability to work with a variety of materials including solid wood, wood substrates, HPL, adhesives and specialty materials as required
- Uphold the highest quality standard and strive for constant improvement / efficiency in the fabrication process
- Participate in the staging of new or refurbished client properties
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of cabinetmaking experience (Exhibits / Architectural Millwork / Store Fixtures / Etc.)
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work independently or as part of a group per project requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate challenging timelines
- Able to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and work well with deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ensure that accepted safe practices are followed and personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn as required by the task being performed
- Weight Handling: Up to 42kg (50 lbs.)
- Must provide own safety boots, annual allowance will be provided. All other safety equipment will be provided.
You must thrive in a fast-‐paced, creative environment in a rapidly growing and successful organization. Typical work hours for the position are 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday, off-‐hours work and weekend work may be required.
