Responsibilities

- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors efficiently and safely
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks including slicing, dicing, portioning, and plating to ensure timely service
- Follow food safety management practices to prevent contamination and ensure proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and delivery during busy service hours
- Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient quality and preparation techniques
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong foundation in culinary techniques
- Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Skilled in food preparation, cooking, and operating various kitchen equipment with safety awareness
- Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for efficiency and precision
