Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus confidently, providing detailed descriptions of menu items and specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety.
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations or wine pairings.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments with POS systems.
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables promptly, assisting with food preparation when needed, and supporting sanitation protocols in the dining area.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring a memorable dining experience from start to finish.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a strong background in guest services and hospitality.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and payment processing.
- Excellent communication skills paired with active listening to understand guest needs effectively.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a positive attitude that enhances guest satisfaction.
- Previous experience in fine dining or nightclub settings is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for delivering top-tier service is essential.
