Overview
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform complex data analysis to support decision-making across financial and operational domains.• Acquire and interpret data knowledge from legacy systems and new sources to ensure continuity and accuracy.• Develop legacy conversion specifications to transition outdated systems into modern data architectures.• Design logical data models and product specifications that align with enterprise needs.• Create data interface specifications for seamless integration between systems.• Develop online query and report specifications to enable real-time data access and reporting.• Define database load and validation specifications to ensure data integrity during migrations and updates.• Lead data warehouse development and design, including dimensional modeling and performance tuning.• Apply BI tools and strategies to extract actionable insights from large datasets.• Map and integrate new authoritative data feeds into existing data ecosystems.• Support HRIS and financial systems integration under DoD cyber workforce standards.• Develop training course materials to educate users on new systems, data tools, and reporting capabilities.• Document requirements and specifications for future system enhancements and audits.• Ensure data security compliance with DoD policies and cybersecurity best practices.• Maintain metadata and data quality standards across all systems and reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 4 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing.• Experience in data analysis, data knowledge acquisition, legacy conversion specifications, and design of data structures and product specifications.• Experience in data mapping, requirements definition and application designs in the form of logical data models, data interface specifications, on-line query and report specifications, database load specifications, data validation specifications, and training course materials.• Qualified experience in Working Capital Fund (WCF) and General Fund accounting, methods and strategies for data warehousing, advanced analytical skills, data warehouse development and design, ERP data knowledge, and knowledge and skills in mapping and integrating new authoritative data feeds.• This position is required to be designated as IAT II level. (Security )• Must have a Secret clearance or higher depending on the contract requirements.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.
