The Talent Mine is recruiting for a Windows / Network Security Sys Admin to support a small IT team in the senior living arena. This is a 3 month contract role in the Redmond, WA area (you must be local) that is being reimagined with a visionary CTO who is looking to create a customer focused and forward-thinking team. If you are the kind of person who has a wide breadth of windows, systems, security and networking skills, enjoys a variety of tasks, and to take on new project challenges every day, this is an ideal role for you!Overview:This role is as much about having the fundamental technical pieces, as it is the right attitude and approach. The team is being rebuilt from the ground up to include professionals who are self-motivated and growth minded. We want the kind of people that raise their hand and ask “how can we make these systems more efficient and more secure?” The kind of person who brings ideas to the table, rather than blindly accomplishes tasks. You seek new challenges, learn new technologies and techniques because it keeps you motivated, and are humble enough to take constructive criticism, as well as bold enough to offer new ideas and share them with others. You primarily live in the Windows Security Systems domain, and bring additional expertise in areas like Citrix, Exchange, VMWare and have some network/switching expertise as well (a senior level generalist).Your profile should include most of the following:7 years of professional Windows Network Security / Sys Admin expertise, with at least 1 year of experience focusing on hardening systems and application from a systems security perspective.Professional expertise with hardware and networking appliances. A list of systems that you'll administer will include:Microsoft Exchange: Administer and support Exchange environments, manage mailboxes, policies, permissions, and troubleshooting.Active Directory: Manage users, groups, OUs, GPOs, and ensure Active Directory health and security.Windows Server: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems (2012/2016/2019). You've done Office365 migrations in your career as well.Networking: Work with HPE hardware, Aruba Access Points, and ClearPass Policy Manager to ensure smooth network connectivity and performance.VMWare: Manage and maintain VMware infrastructure, including virtual machine creation, snapshots, and troubleshooting.Security: Administer and support security solutions including CrowdStrike endpoint protection and Proofpoint email security platform.Healthcare Software: Collaborate with the healthcare applications team to ensure seamless integration and performance of healthcare-specific software.Scripting Languages - Like SQL or PowerShell or C#Cloud expertise (nice to have): Exposure to AWS, Azure and/or cloud services and system backups.You also bring the following professionalism skills to the table:Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed system documentation, network configurations, and incident reports to ensure adherence to IT policies.Troubleshooting & Support: Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for system and application-related issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime.Disaster Recovery & Backup: Ensure regular backup operations are functioning correctly and disaster recovery procedures are in place.A customer focused mindset and persona: You realize that you are supporting the C-Suite and leadership team for multiple facilities and think about the “brand of IT” for the organization. You want to delight customers with your proactive solutions and build trusted internal relationships.This will be an onsite role in the Redmond area, that offers free lunches and a very warm and welcoming atmosphere.
