2073 Salesforce IT Engineer – Application & Production Support
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Engineer – Application Support to design, develop, maintain, and support Salesforce applications and technology solutions within an enterprise environment.
This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting complex application issues, supporting Salesforce Experience Cloud, implementing enhancements and automation, and ensuring platform performance, security, reliability, and scalability.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of Salesforce application support, hands-on development, Experience Cloud administration, and DevOps experience, along with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Application Support & Troubleshooting
- Resolve Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Salesforce support tickets, including user access issues, application defects, and platform-related problems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor Salesforce Experience Cloud site performance, page loading speeds, login issues, and API integrations.
- Troubleshoot Experience Builder templates, themes, custom domains, and navigation menus.
- Analyze Salesforce debug logs, system exceptions, and integration errors to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to improve platform reliability and reduce recurring incidents.
- Partner with Salesforce administrators, developers, and business stakeholders during application releases and production deployments.
- Document recurring issues, create knowledge base articles, and address technical debt.
- Monitor application performance, operational metrics, KPIs, and SLA compliance to identify improvement opportunities.
Salesforce Development & Customization
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and JavaScript.
- Configure and customize Salesforce environments, including workflows, automation, security models, and reporting tools.
- Develop and maintain Salesforce automation using Flow, Process Builder, and Apex triggers.
- Design scalable, reusable solutions following Salesforce development standards and best practices.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and application enhancements.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with development teams to maintain code quality.
- Develop and support integrations between Salesforce and external applications using REST/SOAP APIs and integration platforms.
- Implement analytics and tracking solutions to monitor user behavior and application performance.
- Support application testing, defect resolution, and performance optimization.
Experience Cloud & Security
- Administer, configure, and support Salesforce Experience Cloud sites and external user communities.
- Manage Experience Builder configurations, navigation, templates, and site functionality.
- Configure and maintain Salesforce security models, including roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and sharing sets.
- Manage audience configurations and access controls to ensure appropriate data visibility for external community users.
- Implement Salesforce data security, access management, and governance best practices.
- Support Salesforce data modeling, architecture, and platform optimization.
DevOps, Deployment & Continuous Improvement
- Support Salesforce DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated deployments.
