What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Marketing and Member Growth position at The Table and Wine Society?
About The Table & Wine Society
The Table & Wine Society is a new lifestyle membership company built around exceptional food, wine, travel, and shared experiences.
Our mission is to inspire connection, discovery, and lasting memories through exceptional food, wine, travel, and shared experiences.
We are preparing to launch in multiple markets across the United States and are looking for an entrepreneurial marketing professional who is excited about helping build a national brand from the ground up.
This is a startup environment. The right person will be comfortable moving between strategy and execution, building systems that do not yet exist, testing new ideas, measuring results, and helping shape how the company grows.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Digital Marketing & Member Growth Manager to lead our customer acquisition and brand-growth efforts.
This is not simply a social media position. This person will own the full member marketing journey—from initial brand awareness and lead generation through invitation requests, membership conversion, engagement, referrals, and retention.
The ideal candidate combines digital marketing expertise, strong creative judgment, analytical thinking, and a willingness to work hands-on.
You will work closely with the Founder, sales team, creative resources, partners, and outside vendors to develop campaigns that attract qualified prospective members and convert interest into measurable growth.
What You'll Do
Marketing Strategy and Growth
Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy for The Table & Wine Society.
Build a measurable member-acquisition plan for each launch market.
Create campaigns that generate qualified leads, invitation requests, and new memberships.
Develop marketing calendars aligned with chapter launches, partner announcements, experiences, events, and Journeys.
Test new audiences, offers, messages, landing pages, and acquisition channels.
Help establish the company’s long-term marketing systems, processes, and performance standards.
Digital Advertising and Lead Generation
Plan, manage, and optimize paid campaigns across platforms such as Meta, Google, and other appropriate channels.
Monitor cost per lead, cost per invitation request, customer acquisition cost, conversion rates, and return on marketing investment.
Build retargeting and lead-nurture strategies.
Work closely with sales to evaluate lead quality and improve lead-to-member conversion.
Shift marketing spending toward campaigns and channels producing the strongest results.
Social Media and Content
Own the social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, and future platforms.
Develop content that brings the world of The Table & Wine Society to life through restaurants, wineries, chefs, travel, experiences, and member benefits.
Manage the content calendar, publishing schedule, captions, short-form video, Stories, and partner features.
Use AI tools, templates, freelance resources, partner content, and user-generated content to maintain a consistent and efficient content operation.
Ensure all content reflects the company’s brand voice, visual standards, and premium positioning.
Email, Website, and Conversion
Develop email campaigns and automated nurture sequences for prospects and members.
Manage communications related to invitation requests, membership launches, experiences, events, Journeys, referrals, and renewals.
Improve landing pages, calls to action, forms, and website conversion paths.
Work with technology and CRM resources to ensure leads are properly captured, tracked, segmented, and followed.
Help create personalized member communications based on interests, location, activity, and preferences.
PR, Creators, and Partnerships
Support public relations, media outreach, creator relationships, and influencer campaigns.
Help build and manage a Founding Creator and Influencer Circle.
Develop co-marketing opportunities with restaurant, winery, travel, and hospitality partners.
Create partner marketing toolkits, referral campaigns, QR-code promotions, and shareable content.
Identify strategic partnerships that can expand awareness and qualified member acquisition.
Member Engagement and Retention
Develop onboarding, activation, engagement, referral, and renewal campaigns.
Create marketing that encourages members to explore partners, attend experiences, book Journeys, and use their membership.
Identify members at risk of disengagement and build appropriate re-engagement campaigns.
Help develop the member referral and ambassador programs.
Measure the relationship between marketing activity, member engagement, retention, and long-term value.
What We're Looking For
Approximately 4–7 years of experience in digital marketing, growth marketing, member acquisition, consumer marketing, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience managing paid digital advertising campaigns.
Strong understanding of lead-generation funnels, landing pages, email marketing, CRM workflows, and conversion optimization.
Experience developing social media and content strategies.
Ability to interpret campaign data and make practical decisions based on performance.
Strong writing, communication, organizational, and project-management skills.
Experience coordinating freelancers, agencies, creators, designers, or outside vendors.
Comfort using AI tools to improve content creation, personalization, productivity, and campaign analysis.
Ability to work independently in a remote and entrepreneurial environment.
Willingness to be both strategic and hands-on.
Genuine interest in food, wine, travel, hospitality, memorable experiences, or membership-based businesses.
Experience with lifestyle brands, hospitality, travel, luxury services, private clubs, subscriptions, memberships, events, or premium consumer brands is especially valuable.
Who Will Thrive Here
Enjoy building something rather than inheriting an established marketing department.
Can turn a broad vision into a clear plan with measurable goals.
Care about qualified leads and paying members—not just impressions, likes, or follower counts.
Are creative but also highly analytical.
Understand that strong marketing and strong sales must work together.
Are comfortable testing, learning, adjusting, and improving quickly.
Believe technology and AI should make marketing more effective without making the customer experience feel impersonal.
Want the opportunity to play an important role in the growth of a new national company.
What Success Looks Like
Building a clear and repeatable member-acquisition system.
Generating a consistent flow of qualified prospective members.
Improving invitation-request and membership-conversion rates.
Establishing measurable customer acquisition costs by market and campaign.
Launching a strong social media and content presence.
Developing effective email, retargeting, referral, and partner-powered campaigns.
Creating marketing processes that can be replicated as the Society enters additional cities.
Helping establish The Table & Wine Society as a distinctive and trusted lifestyle membership brand.
Compensation
The starting salary for this position is $70,000 per year.
The position may also include a performance-based bonus tied to measurable results such as:
Qualified lead generation
Customer acquisition cost
Lead-to-member conversion
Campaign efficiency
Membership growth
Final compensation and bonus terms will be based on experience and documented in the formal compensation plan.
Why Join Us?
