Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Assistant Chef role located in Esses Junction, VT. The Assistant Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining high hygiene standards. Daily tasks include food preparation, assisting the head chef with recipe development, ensuring the quality and consistency of dishes, and coordinating with kitchen staff. Additional responsibilities include inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Must be available on weekends. Hours are 7AM to 3PM Thursdays through Mondays. $23-$25 per hour Based on experience. Long term salary position is a possibility after 6 months depending on applicant qualifications and performance.
Qualifications
- Culinary skills, including food preparation and cooking
- Experience in kitchen operations and recipe development
- Inventory management and ordering supplies
- Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
Salary : $23 - $25
