Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Group Fitness Instructor role located in Joliet, IL. The Group Fitness Instructor will lead safe, engaging, and effective group exercise classes for participants with diverse fitness levels. Daily responsibilities include planning class formats, demonstrating proper technique, monitoring participant safety, and providing modifications as needed. The instructor will greet and support participants, answer questions, and deliver excellent customer service before, during, and after classes. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized exercise area, collaborating with other staff, and promoting upcoming classes or programs offered by The Swim Advantage.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Group Exercise and Fitness Instruction to design and lead effective, safe, and engaging group classes.
- Candidates should possess skills in Personal Training and general Fitness Industry knowledge to tailor workouts, understand trends, and support participant goals.
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to communicate clearly, build rapport with participants, and respond professionally to questions and feedback.
- Relevant certifications in group fitness or personal training (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA) are highly beneficial.
- CPR/AED certification and a demonstrated commitment to participant safety are preferred.
- Ability to motivate diverse groups, manage class time effectively, and work collaboratively with team members.
- Previous experience leading group fitness or aquatic-based classes is an advantage.
