OPS Consulting is seeking an experienced Research Scientist to work in the following locations: Baltimore, MD
College Park, MD Required Experience: The Research Scientistvaluates and provides expert advice on the application of scientific principles and concepts. The Research Scientist also maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, staying abreast of the scientific literature and conferences. Additional experience is required in the following areas: * Designs, develops, and executes scientific studies. * Executes scientific studies. * Applies scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products. * May participate in development of intellectual property. * Plans laboratory research. * May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research. * Provide technical consultation on projects in area of primary expertise. * Applies scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products typically 7 years prior to landing on a product roadmap. Qualifications: * A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related field. * Level 1: One (1) year of experience or a Master's degree plus two (2) years of experience. * Level 2: Nine (9) years of experience or a Master's degree plus six (6) years of experience or a Ph.D Degree plus four (4) years' experience. A current government clearance, background investigation, and/ or polygraph are required. * Level 3: Twelve (12) years of experience or a Master's degree plus nice (9) years of experience or a Ph.D Degree plus seven (7) years' experience. A current government clearance, background investigation, and/ or polygraph are required.
