Ice Cream Server/Cashier

Position Overview:
The Sweetest Thing is hiring team members for the busy season. This position is ideal for responsible high school students and individuals looking for a fast-paced, customer-focused job.

You must be dependable, willing to learn, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Basic Requirements

• Must be 16 years or older
• Friendly and respectful attitude with customers and coworkers
• Ability to perform basic math and handle payments
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to follow directions and take initiative when tasks need to be done

Availability Expectations

• MUST BE available evenings and weekends
• Must be able to work 2–3 shifts per week
• Availability during summer and peak season is required
• Schedule changes should be limited to emergencies
• Punctuality and reliability are essential

Job Duties

• Greet customers and take orders politely and accurately
• Scoop ice cream and prepare menu items (sundaes, milkshakes, floats, etc.)
• Operate the register and handle payments correctly
• Keep work areas clean and organized throughout the shift
• Wash dishes and follow food safety guidelines
• Restock cones, toppings, cups, and supplies
• Complete opening and closing tasks as assigned
• Stay productive when working alone and communicate clearly when working with teammates
