Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or answering inquiries
- Operate POS systems for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Conduct product demonstrations and upsell items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves regularly
- Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment and merchandising strategies
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction
- Assist with phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries
- Supervise or support team members as needed, including supervising experience in leadership roles
- Support store operations through basic math calculations for sales transactions and retail math accuracy
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers and team members
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, and product demos to promote sales
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous but not required
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional phone etiquette
- Upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Supervising experience is preferred for leadership roles within the team
