- Testing of all existing and future software, largely built on the .NET framework.
- Create and implement a new QA Automation framework.
- Build and run automated regression tests for ongoing and new software projects.
- Perform comprehensive manual testing of features and bug fixes on an ongoing basis.
- Understand the intricacies, relationships, and dependencies of enterprise software systems to test the applications effectively.
- Create and implement detailed test plans, test cases, protocols, and procedures.
- Create and maintain system metrics to track test results.
- Review software bug reports, highlight problem areas, and recommend innovative solutions.
- Troubleshoot automation software and performance issues.
- Identify issues/risks in testing and present alternatives to alleviate or resolve them.
- Plan and prioritize testing activities.
- Proactively recommend new features and improvements to optimize test automation and coverage.
- Collaborate with the development team, business analysts, and project managers.
- Assist with ticket writing in the issue tracking system.
- Communicate with managers, project sponsors, and users regarding the status of specific projects, features, tests, and issues.
- Work in an Agile environment and participate in daily stand-up meetings.
- Must be a California resident.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited university.
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form.
- Apply logical and technical concepts to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Work in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to interact and work effectively with superiors, peers, developers, engineers, consultants, software vendors, and end-users.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to others inside and outside the organization.
About The Surplus Line Association of California:
The Surplus Line Association of California (SLA) operates as a private, 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization governed by a plan of operation approved by both the California Department of Insurance (CDI) and the SLA Board of Directors. Appointed by the Commissioner in 1994, the Association serves as the statutory surplus line advisory organization to the CDI and facilitates the state’s capacity to monitor and direct surplus line brokers’ placements of insurance with eligible surplus line insurers.Working with its members and the CDI, the Association assists its members’ compliance with California laws and regulations; helps maintain a healthy, fair, and competitive surplus line marketplace in California; and strives to protect the interests of California insurance consumers.
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
