Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging STEM lessons and activities tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including basic first aid procedures when necessary.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that supports children with varying needs, including those requiring special education accommodations.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to plan program schedules and special events.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt activities to meet individual developmental needs.
- Maintain organized records of attendance, participation, and student achievements.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in teaching or tutoring children in STEM subjects or related fields.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and engage young learners.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certifications in first aid and child safety are preferred; willingness to obtain if not already held.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive settings is a plus.
- Background in childcare, camp counseling, sports coaching, theater arts, or babysitting is advantageous.
