Loader Operator

Department: Asphalt / Concrete (HMA / RMC)

About the Role

Sunrock is seeking a skilled Loader Operator to support our Asphalt and Concrete operations. In this role, you will safely operate a front-end loader to load aggregate materials into customer and company haul trucks, manage stockpiles, and ensure uninterrupted material flow to asphalt and concrete plants.

This position requires attention to safety, efficiency, and quality, and plays a critical role in keeping production running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a front-end loader to load aggregates into customer and inter-company haul trucks

• Manage and maintain aggregate and recycled material stockpiles

• Ensure asphalt and concrete plants are supplied with uncontaminated materials

• Perform daily pre-shift inspections, fueling, greasing, and basic maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate material needs with plant supervisors

• Load trucks efficiently to meet production and customer demand

• Follow all Sunrock, MSHA, and OSHA safety policies and procedures

• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• 1–2 years of loader or heavy equipment operating experience

• Ability to safely operate a front-end loader in a production environment

• Basic understanding of aggregate materials and stockpile management

• Ability to work flexible hours with no fixed schedule

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required
