The Summit Area YMCA (SAY) is seeking a caring, responsible, mentor to join our team as Assistant Swim Team Coach for the Summer Swim Teams at both the Berkeley Heights Community Pool or the Springfield Community Pool. Under the direction of the Head Swim Coach, the Assistant Coach assists in the supervision of all aspects of the seasonal competitive swimming program. This includes teaching, administration, and deck coaching as a representative of the Y at all team events and functions.

Salary & Benefits:
This position is part time with an opportunity to work up to 25 hours each week. Wages are competitive, starting $18.00/hour, but based on experience. Benefit of employment at the Y incudes a free YMCA membership and discounts on family membership.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ prior experience as a competitive swimmer.
- Prior Experience Coaching is a plus
- Certified in Coach’s Safety training, Principles of YMCA Competitive Swimming or ability to obtain within 30 days.
- CPR/AED for the Professional rescuer and First Aid or ability to obtain within 30 days.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
