This position is based off-site at a local elementary schools and is responsible for managing the afterschool program at that specific school location.

What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the lead staff member responsible for your assigned school site.
- Be the primary point of contact for parents, building strong relationships and trust.
- Lead a dynamic afterschool program that blends fun, learning, and enrichment for school-age children.
- Plan and implement creative, thematic activities that inspire curiosity and growth.
- Manage and maintain licensing documentation and children’s records for your site.
- Supervise and mentor afterschool staff, ensuring they understand and deliver quality program standards.
- Maintain accurate records including attendance, inventories, and incident reports.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment for children and staff.
- Communicate regularly with the Afterschool Director about program updates, challenges, and successes.
- Act as an ambassador for the YMCA’s mission of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
Salary & Benefits:
The pay rate for this position is $25.00 per hour. This position is part time, scheduled to work Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 6:00pm. Position runs on the local school calendar, but staff are also expected to work holiday care during school vacations.

Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have at least 1 years experience working with young children in a licensed childcare setting or camping program.
- Must possess planning and organizational skills, leadership and personnel qualities.
- Must have or complete prior to active work NJCCIS trainings and NJCCIS “Understanding licensing”
- Current CPR/ AED & First Aid certifications.
