The Suffield House RHC is a long-term care and rehabilitation center dedicated to providing compassionate, resident-centered care. We are seeking a friendly, patient, and dependable Hairdresser/Stylist to provide on-site salon services to our residents. On-site salon space provided.
Position Summary
The Hairdresser/Stylist will provide professional haircare services to residents, including shampooing, cutting, styling, and other basic salon services. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with older adults and creating a positive, uplifting experience.
Responsibilities
Provide haircutting, hairstyling, and grooming services for residents
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming salon environment
Manage appointments and maintain a service schedule
Assist residents with mobility needs while ensuring safety
Follow all infection control and sanitation guidelines
Communicate professionally with residents, families, and staff
Handle payments or documentation as required by facility policies
Qualifications
Valid cosmetology license (required)
Prior experience working with seniors preferred
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently
Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude
Must pass background checks per state and facility regulations
