As a Junior Engineering Analyst operating within the framework of AS9100D, you will support the client Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) efforts by reviewing and organizing supplier technical documentation for electronic components. Your work will directly contribute to conformity documentation, part traceability, and the development of a Qualified Parts List (QPL) that supports FAA certification of our next-generation aircraft systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Review supplier technical data sheets for electrical and electromechanical components
● Extract, categorize, and normalize key attributes including electrical performance, environmental ratings, and regulatory compliance
● Build and maintain structured tracking tools or databases to support part-level conformity documentation
● Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to close documentation gaps or resolve discrepancies
● Support the preparation of documentation packets for Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), FAA conformity review, and STC submittals
● Ensure alignment between component specifications, system design intent, and documentation used for QPL inclusion
● Maintain version control, traceability, and document management practices consistent with AS9100D and FAA standards
● Additional responsibilities as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
● Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline
● 1–3 years of relevant internship or entry-level experience in an engineering or technical documentation role
● Demonstrated ability to interpret technical specifications and product data sheets
● Strong attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other data organization tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Familiarity with FAA STC processes, AS9100D, or other aerospace certification standards
● Experience working with supplier data, component qualification records, or conformance documentation
● Exposure to document control or PLM tools such as Arena, Windchill, or equivalent
● Understanding of configuration management principles and Qualified Parts List (QPL) development
