Job Summary
The Strike Zone VT is home to the Vermont Fury travel softball organization!
The Fury 16U team is seeking to fill the head coach role for the upcoming 2026/2027 travel season.

Vermont Fury provides young athletes a safe, positive, and supportive environment to hone athletic skills and abilities and evolve their mindset. The ideal candidate for this position has ample knowledge of the sport and a passion for empowering youth through sport and athletics.
Coach Responsibilities:
- Foster a team culture based on Vermont Fury’s core values of discipline, resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Manage team logistics, including scheduling practices and distributing game schedules.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and tournament officials as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching OR playing experience at the high school, collegiate, or club level.
- Strong knowledge of softball rules, techniques, and strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive team environment.
- Availability for fall/winter training practices September 2026 - March 2027
- Availability to attend weekday practices, weekend tournaments, and team events June - August 2027
Additional Requirements:
- Background check and clearance as required by USA Softball to be obtained upon hiring.
- Compliance with USA Softball and USA Safesport training principles. Training provided.
