Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the girls basketball program, including practices, games, and
- Develop and implement training and practice plans that support technical improvement, conditioning, and game preparation.
- Mentor and guide student-athletes in alignment with the school's values of character, leadership, and faith.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school administration.
- Organize team logistics, including scheduling, transportation, and game preparation.
- Ensure compliance with all league and school policies.
- Promote a positive team culture that values respect, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years of coaching experience required.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to teach and inspire athletes of varying skill levels.
- Commitment to the mission and values of The Stony Brook School.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Driver's license for driving a 14 passenger van to games.
- Fall and Winter Seasons: September- March
- Monday -Friday practices: 3:30 PM - 5:45 PM
- Weekday and Weekend game competitions
