Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) - School

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Lancaster, SC for the 26/27 school year! This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active LPN License in South Carolina
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including:
  • Pediatric skillset
  • Tube feedings and management
  • Seizure management - competent with seizure action plans and rescue medications
  • Oxygen and airway management
  • Medication administration
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently
• Ability to safely implement physician orders and care plans within LPN scope of practice
• School-based experience highly preferred

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day
• Support chronic condition management and assist with medical procedures as outlined in care plans
• Provide first aid and medication administration
• Document care and communicate with school teams
• Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities when assigned
• Report significant status changes to supervising RN and family
