Full-Time Credit Analyst in our Green Bay or Marinette location. (In person)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Credit Analyst to join our team. This position plays a critical role in supporting commercial lending activities through comprehensive financial analysis, credit underwriting, risk assessment, and portfolio management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, sound credit judgment, and experience analyzing commercial loan relationships. This individual will work closely with lenders to evaluate new and existing credit requests while ensuring adherence to the bank's credit policies and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do:

Credit Underwriting:

  • Review and analyze commercial loan customers’ financial statements, tax returns, collateral, debt service capacity, and overall relationship risk; perform periodic credit analysis (monthly or quarterly) for larger and higher-risk customers.
  • Prepare and analyze financial spreads and other relevant information to assess borrowers’ ability to repay existing debt and support new loan requests.
  • Evaluate borrower profitability, liquidity, leverage, and other key financial metrics, comparing performance against industry benchmarks.
  • Assess and assign appropriate credit risk ratings based on borrower performance, financial condition, and transaction structure.
  • Evaluate guarantors’ backgrounds, management capabilities, global cash flow availability, and overall strength of guaranty support.
  • Identify and recommend appropriate loan controls and covenants to mitigate risk and protect SNBT’s interests.

Information Management:

  • Track and maintain current financial information, periodic borrower certificates, policy exceptions, and loan covenant compliance for all commercial loan customers; assist in resolving exceptions identified through loan reviews, compliance reviews, audits, and compile criticized asset reports.
  • Perform floor plan inspections and checks on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis, as required.
  • Track and maintain borrower curtailments in accordance with loan requirements.
  • Coordinate and support commercial lending committee activities, documentation, reporting, and administrative processes.

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, along with at least five years of commercial credit analysis experience within a financial institution. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of commercial lending, financial statement and cash flow analysis, experience evaluating commercial real estate and commercial loan relationships, strong analytical and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy.
