Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in delivering age-appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and early childhood development activities
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for children
- Engage children in hands-on activities that promote social skills, emotional growth, and cognitive development
- Help with daily routines such as snack time, nap time, and bathroom breaks to ensure smooth transitions throughout the day
- Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions and support children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities
- Contribute to lesson planning and curriculum development to meet individual learning goals and accommodate different learning styles
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s progress and classroom events to foster strong home-school connections
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare, private school, or early childhood education settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies
- Familiarity with special education practices, including working with individuals with autism or disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families
- Experience with lesson planning, literacy education, math activities, Montessori or other educational philosophies is desirable
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a dynamic classroom environment
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous but not required
