What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Paralegal position at The Stellar Group Inc?
Stellar is seeking an in-house Corporate Paralegal who will support the legal department by preparing documents, conducting legal research, and maintaining files and corporate governance. The Corporate Paralegal will assist with case preparation and work closely with attorneys and other legal staff on corporate matters.
- Maintain and organize legal files and databases to ensure information is easily accessible
- Coordinate with internal departments and external counsel as needed
- Manage corporate governance matters and compliance with local, state, and federal laws
- Assist with the preparation of legal documents, including agreements and corporate filings
- Conduct research on legal regulations and case law to support legal proceedings and business transactions
- Support the legal department in case preparation and management
- Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Paralegal certification preferred
- Experience in a corporate legal department or law firm
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with legal research tools (Westlaw/LexisNexis) and Microsoft Office Suite
