What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Summer Camp Instructor position at The STEAM Generation?
As a substitute teacher, you will be professionally trained in our curriculum and work closely with assistant teachers to facilitate programs. Former experience presenting to a group is preferred. The Lead Teacher is responsible for teaching fun science camps. All curriculum and supplies are provided. The campsite will be at a school in Dallas, ga this summer June 1-26. 8:15AM-12:45PM. We are looking for someone who is available during this timeframe in case a substitute is needed.
Responsibilities
Executes projects based on lesson plans. Ability to teach hands-on projects.
Requirements
- have experience and enjoy working with children ages 4-14
- have reliable transportation
- have flexibility, excellent work ethic and be dependable have great organizational skills and be able to work independently
- has experience teaching science concepts prior experience as an educator or pursuing a degree in the education or engineering field is also a plus
- pass a background check
- available to work in the summer in a camp setting during the day a plus
- professional resume required and must contain zip code
- Preferred fields of study: Education, Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Math
- Experience with Technology/Computer Science a plus
