What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker position at The Station on Kings?
We are looking to add to our pastry team! The right person has a passion for the culinary arts, pays attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast paced environement with their teammates. Baker responsibilities include mixing dough, preparing fillings and glazing pastries, and bake off. This position will be resposible for baking off pastries for our morning and afternoon case. This shift is very early morning shift starting from 2:00-3:00AM.
No experience necessary as our talented staff will train on site.
Responsibilities
- Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use
- Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
- Mix various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and pies (e.g. chocolate ganache, caramel sauce and fruits)
- Shape dough to prepare different types of pastries, including croissants, cookies and sweet rolls
Requirements and skills
- Must be able to lift 50lbs. periodically. This position is very physical - you will be lifting bags of flour and sugar and transporting trays of pastries.
