Description of DutiesFood Service Supervisors oversee the day-to-day operations within establishments that prepare and serve food and beverages. Duties, obligations, and activities may change at any time, with or without notice.CompetenciesSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position supervises the department's student employees and dining associates in coordination with management.Work EnvironmentThis job entails frequent exposure to smoke, steam, and high temperatures. There is also frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and stand. The employee must frequently reach, bend, stoop, stir, pour, carry, push, and lift objects up to 75 pounds.
