Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensing & Certification: Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license to perform the essential functions of this position.
Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience in determining market value of property; working in the valuation and mapping of property. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Special Requirements: Satisfactory completion of three appraisal courses approved by the Department of Revenue, or three appraisal courses of at least three semester hours each from a college or university.
Preferred Experience: Three years of mass appraisal experience utilizing a computer assisted mass appraisal system and in the mapping of property. Satisfactory completion of five appraisal courses approved by the Department of Revenue, or five appraisal courses of at least three semester hours each from a college or university.
Preferred Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) application, Orion, proofreading, editing, and attention to detail.
