Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Obtain vital signs, height and weight for clinic patients and places patient in clinic exam room. Performs venipuncture as ordered. Responsible for properly labeling all blood samples and submitting to lab. Cleans and maintains exam rooms with the appropriate level of supplies and maintains a clean and safe work area. Performs back-office functions such as fax filing in the EMR, chart prep, and phone coverage as needed. Assists in front desk area with patient check-in, scheduling, and appointment verification. Documents medical information including necessary CMS Merit-Based Incentive System (MIPS) information. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent and certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited school.
