Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT)
Location: Unity Medical Center
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Pay: $24.00 – $33.00 per hour
About the Role
The Staff Pad has partnered with Unity Medical Center to hire a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist. This role provides respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic testing to patients in both acute and outpatient settings, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen, aerosol, high-humidity, and ventilator support
- Perform arterial punctures and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Conduct pulmonary function testing and EKGs
- Assist with chest physiotherapy and emergency respiratory interventions, including CPR
- Support long-term ventilation management and critical care patients
- Document all treatments and patient responses accurately in medical records
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to coordinate care
- Assist with stress testing procedures alongside Nuclear Medicine and Nursing teams
- Serve as a clinical resource for respiratory care best practices
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
Qualifications
- CRT or RRT credential required
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) required
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and equipment
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency and critical care situations
