The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading
healthcare organization in Manchester, TN, to recruit an experienced and
compassionate Registered Nurse to join its Surgical Services team.
In this role, you will provide exceptional nursing
care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients throughout the surgical
experience.
You'll work closely with surgeons, anesthesia
providers, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, efficient
surgical services while serving in roles such as circulating nurse, scrub
nurse, post-anesthesia care nurse, or other perioperative support functions as
needed.
Schedule: Full-Time | Days
Setting: Acute Care | Inpatient | Outpatient
What You'll Do
- Deliver
nursing care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and
postoperative phases
- Assess,
monitor, and document patient condition before, during, and after surgery
- Prepare
patients, equipment, and the operating room for surgical procedures
- Serve
as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or post-anesthesia care nurse as
assigned
- Administer
medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician
orders
- Maintain
a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment
- Collaborate
with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Monitor
patient recovery and provide education to patients and families
- Respond
to changes in patient condition and surgical emergencies
- Ensure
accurate documentation and compliance with safety, regulatory, and
infection prevention standards
Required Qualifications
- Active
Tennessee Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
- Graduate
of an accredited school of nursing
- Current
BLS certification required
- ACLS
certification required or ability to obtain within the required timeframe
- PALS
certification preferred or required based on department needs
- Previous
perioperative or operating room experience preferred
- Strong
clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Knowledge
of sterile technique, infection prevention, and perioperative nursing
practices
- Ability
to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment
