The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading
healthcare system in Wausau, WI to hire Registered Nurses for a
high-acuity Critical Care (ICU) / Step-Down Units
This unit cares for a complex patient population
including cardiothoracic, post-surgical, and telemetry patients—offering
exposure to ICU-level skills in a structured, team-driven environment.
Schedule: Full-Time | Part-Time | Supplemental
What You’ll Do:
- Provide care for patients requiring
higher acuity monitoring (drips, chest tubes, central lines)
- Collaborate with a strong
interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting
- Manage frequent admissions,
discharges, and transfers
- Deliver patient-centered care with
a focus on safety and outcomes
What We’re Looking For:
- Associates Degree in Nursing,
Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Certification in specialty
preferred
- RN license (WI or compact eligible
& Trauma nursing core course
- BLS required (or obtained within 90
days of hire)
- ACLS, PALS or NRP preferred based
on primary department
- Open to new grads and
experienced nurses
- 3 years practicing as an RN in a
comparative setting for experienced nurses
- Comfortable in a fast-paced,
high-acuity environment
