The Staff Pad has partnered with a leading
healthcare provider in Las Vegas, NM, to find a qualified Phlebotomist for
their Laboratory team.
As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in
supporting accurate diagnostic testing and quality patient care. This position
is responsible for the safe and efficient collection, handling, and
documentation of patient specimens while supporting laboratory operations and
maintaining compliance with established standards and protocols.

Days
What You'll Do
- Perform
venipunctures, heel sticks, and finger sticks to collect blood specimens
- Ensure
accurate patient identification and specimen labeling
- Document
specimen details, time drawn and received, in the laboratory computer
system
- Perform
chain-of-custody urine drug screens following NIDA guidelines
- Maintain
patient confidentiality and adhere to quality control and safety protocols
- Assist
in troubleshooting lab equipment and maintaining proper operation
- Participate
in training and mentoring new staff as needed
What We're Looking For
Education, Experience and Certifications
- High
school diploma or GED required
- Minimum
2 years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment
preferred
- Phlebotomy
Certification preferred
Additional Requirements
- Ability
to follow procedures independently and work effectively under pressure
- Must
be able to see with or without corrective eyewear and hear clearly
- Ability
to work with exposure to infectious materials and handle emergency
situations
- Willingness
to work flexible hours as needed
- Ability
stand, walk, kneel & reach as required for the role & lift and
carry up to 50 lbs.
