What are the responsibilities and job description for the PA/ FNP - Clinic - Full-Time position at The Staff Pad?
The Staff Pad has partnered with a respected healthcare organization in Alturas, CA, to recruit full-time Physician Assistants (PAs) and Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) to join a collaborative, patient-centered clinic team.
Under the direction of the Medical Director and Clinic Manager, the PA/FNP provides comprehensive primary care services to patients and families, with an emphasis on disease prevention, health maintenance, and patient education.
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
What You’ll Do
- Perform physical exams, obtain medical histories, and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications and perform minor procedures
- Provide women's health services, prenatal care, family planning, and well-child visits
- Collaborate with healthcare team members on patient care plans
- Educate patients and families and provide referrals as needed
- Stay current with medical advancements and promote patient safety and quality care
What We Are Looking For
PA Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences ; Graduate of an accredited PA program
- NCCPA certified & Active California PA license
- DEA registration (if applicable)
- Completion of required CME hours and recertification; supervised by a physician
FNP Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Master’s degree from an accredited NP program
- National FNP certification (or certification eligible)
Additional Qualifications
- Current BCLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong English communication skills & basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages
