The Role
The SR Group is seeking an Associate Director to play a key leadership role within our SR Staffing brand. This position sits at a senior level within our external recruitment team and is responsible for driving recruitment performance, leading and developing recruiters, and supporting commercial growth across Engineering, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and IT markets.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for an experienced staffing professional who understands agency recruitment, delivery excellence, and team development within a high‑performance environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop a team of agency recruiters delivering contract and/or permanent staffing solutions
- Support recruitment delivery across Engineering, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and IT disciplines
- Drive performance against revenue, activity, and quality KPIs in line with business goals
- Coach recruiters on full‑cycle recruitment, candidate management, client delivery, and process excellence
- Partner closely with leadership to execute growth strategies and expand market presence
- Act as an escalation point for complex searches, delivery challenges, and key client relationships
- Support client strategy alongside senior consultants and directors where needed
- Ensure best‑in‑class candidate and client experience across all engagements
- Leverage data, reporting, and market insight to continuously improve team performance
- Champion The SR Group’s values, culture, and career development framework
What We’re Looking For
- 7 years of experience within agency recruitment or staffing, 360-desk experience (required)
- Proven ability to coach and mentor junior recruiters
- Strong understanding of Engineering, Manufacturing, Healthcare, or IT staffing markets
- Track record of delivery excellence in an external recruitment environment
- Commercially astute with an understanding of revenue, margins, and staffing performance metrics
- Confident communicator able to influence internally and externally
- Organized, resilient, and comfortable in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven business
