What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appointment Setter position at The Squire Group?
The Squire Group is looking for a dependable, personable appointment setter to help us connect with individuals, families, and business owners who may benefit from the services we provide.
This is a genuine part time hourly position. The primary job is making outbound calls, following up with prospective clients, having natural conversations, keeping accurate notes, and scheduling appointments for our licensed agents.
However, we want to be completely upfront about the long term opportunity.
We’re specifically hoping to find someone who may eventually want to become a licensed life insurance agent. You don’t need insurance experience or a license to begin. You do need to be open to learning the business and considering a larger sales role if the fit is right for both of us.
If you’re only looking for a permanent administrative position and have absolutely no interest in insurance or sales, this probably won’t be the right opportunity.
Responsibilities include:
- Making outbound calls and following up with prospective clients
- Scheduling qualified appointments for licensed agents
- Communicating professionally by phone, text, and email
- Keeping accurate records of calls, conversations, and appointments
- Learning the basic services offered by The Squire Group
- Following up consistently without pressuring people
The right person will be:
- Comfortable speaking with people on the phone
- Reliable and able to work without constant supervision
- Organized enough to follow a simple process consistently
- Friendly, confident, and able to carry a natural conversation
- Interested in personal growth and potentially building a career in insurance
- Willing to obtain a life insurance license in the future if we mutually decide to move forward
The appointment setter position pays $14-18 per hour (based on experience) for approximately 15 to 20 hours per week.
The Squire Group works with life insurance, annuities, employer benefit programs, and strategies that help families use their money more efficiently. We’re growing, but we’re being selective about the people we bring onto the team.
To apply, please submit your resume and briefly explain why this position interests you.
