This role is responsible for hiring, developing, and coaching staff, setting the tone for hospitality and team culture, and ensuring excellence in service delivery, working in close partnership with the Dining Room Operations Coordinator and supporting the Food & Beverage Manager with training and resident satisfaction.

Essential Functions
Service Leadership & Resident Relations
- Ensure resident and guest satisfaction through high standards of service, hospitality, and appearance.
- Maintain floor presence during peak hours; support table service as needed.
- Direct guest flow in the dining room during service.
- Liaise between kitchen and dining rooms to ensure seamless service.
- Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate dining room staff.
- Conduct daily pre-meal meetings with dining personnel; relay information and policy changes and brief personnel.
- Maintain ongoing training in service standards and etiquette.
- Design staffing plans for special events, coordinating with the Dining Room Operations Coordinator on floor plans and setup.
- Ensure complete operational success, including adherence to all processes by all staff.
- Train and coach staff on new systems and technology, including POS features and the service robot, to drive adoption.
- Model The Springs Living values and build a positive, respectful, and accountable team culture.
- Recognize strong performance and address performance or conduct concerns promptly and fairly.
- Attend monthly Town Hall and Food for Thought, keeping notes of same and disseminating feedback to the dining room staff with the goal of improving Resident satisfaction.

- Listens effectively and provides clear, concise, and accurate verbal and written information
- Cooperates with others to effectively and efficiently achieve goals and resolve problems
- Maintains confidentiality and privacy of our residents and staff at all times
- Attends education and training classes as necessary to fulfill state regulations
- Assures that local and state laws and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed
- Responds courteously to resident concerns and complaints. Problem solves in a professional manner with the team regarding resident concerns and complaints
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager
Required
- 1-2 years supervisory experience in hospitality or full-service dining
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, residents, employees, and the general public.
- Ability to solve problems and adapt in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, POS systems, e-mail, and scheduling tools
- Experience in publication design and layout
- Experience in senior living or healthcare dining settings
- Knowledge of reservation systems, digital menu tools and service robotics
- Certifications: Bartender, Food Handler or ServSafe
Physical Demands and Requirements
- Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the work day; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist, and reach
- Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/handle items.
- Must be able to walk throughout campus on frequent basis for extended periods of time.
- Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous daily activities.
- May be exposed to bio hazardous materials including, but not limited to, blood and body fluids, sharps exposure, animal dander and latex.
